Transfer Chute Key Specifications

Liner Material

AR400 steel liners for raw material (basalt, slag) transfer points; polished mild steel or UHMW-PE for fibrous product chutes to prevent fibre snagging and buildup.

Inlet/Outlet Size

Raw material chutes matched to conveyor widths 600-1200 mm; product handling chutes designed for full blanket widths up to 2400 mm at forming and cutting lines.

Wear Life

AR-lined raw material chutes: 24-48 months; product handling chutes with polished surfaces: 48-96 months with periodic surface refinishing.

DEM Analysis

DEM simulation for raw material batching chutes to ensure uniform feed distribution; airflow modeling for fibrous product chutes to prevent fibre disruption.

Dust Containment

Fully enclosed construction with integrated extraction hoods for fibre-containing airstreams; sealed flanged connections to prevent workplace fibre exposure exceeding OEL limits.

Material Throughput

Raw material chutes: 50 TPH to 200 TPH; finished product chutes designed for line speeds up to 120 m/min at fibre formation and cutting stages.

Industrial Applications

  • Raw Material Batch to Furnace Feed

AR-lined transfer chutes receive weighed batches of basalt, dolomite, and recycled material from proportioning conveyors and direct them into the cupola or electric furnace charge system.

  • Fiberizing Line Product Transfers

Enclosed low-angle chutes transfer formed mineral wool blankets between the collection chamber, pendulum distributor, and curing oven entry conveyor without disturbing fibre orientation.

  • Trimming Waste and Offcut Recycling

Dedicated chutes collect trimming waste and edge offcuts from the cutting line and direct them to recycling conveyors feeding back into the raw material batch system.
